Title: Attraction Action Logline: Magnet Murphy learns the hard way that being "attractive" isn’t always a choice.
Description: In this high-energy comedic short, Magnet Murphy’s powers go haywire, turning a quiet stroll into a metallic ambush. I focused on exaggerated squash-and-stretch and weighted physics to show the impact of everything from paperclips to park benches "attacking" our protagonist.
-
Software: Animated in Toon Boom Harmony, with hand-painted backgrounds from Photoshop.
-
Key Focus: Prop interaction and comedic timing.
Project Title: You Ain't Got No Alibi 🧲
Category: Character Animation & Lip-Sync Test
Overview: > A character study focused on integrating comedic lip-sync with high-energy physical acting. Using Magnet Murphy, I explored how a non-traditional "face" (a robot with a magnet head) can still convey a wide range of expressive emotions.
The Challenge: > Matching Murphy’s mechanical movements to the rhythmic, high-energy vocal track while maintaining the "weight" of his magnetic design.
Tools: Animated in Toon Boom Harmony | Facial Expressions designed in Clip Studio Paint.
